The old routes of 778 (Brettenham - Lindsey - Hadleigh) and 464 (Flexible) have been covered by the LAMBS Community Transport
Suffolk is working hard to improve public transport options throughout the county and run a number of promotions to encourage us all to try new and existing services. You can often win really great prizes just for taking the time to try or find out. Some of their promotional sites are at www.60306.com, www.ipswichotspots.som and www.ipswichristmas.com (the last two being somewhat seasonal though!!). Suffolk County Council also operates a Youth Card scheme for the county which not only offers bus travel discounts to anyone up to the age of 19 but also stacks of other special offers, competitions and discounts. Pop along to the website to apply on line or call 0844 800 0101.
You will need to book Community Transport journeys on the day before you wish to travel. But they are flexible and can link into some of the other bus routes if you live a little way off the main drag. You need to be registered with them before you can use the service but it's quick and easy. Just ring Suffolk Council on 0844 800 0101 or go to their website at www.suffolkonboard.com.
