"Smaller businesses are unlikely to have the flexibility to offer that a large corporation like Tesco can offer. This will change the whole dynamic of the small market town"

“A job is a job! Local children from the schools and college students will want "a job" regardless. Maybe Tesco will pay better but keeping the "modern youth" off street corners and drinking under age at the parks will be good, but i guess this will only encourage drinking with the money funding there alcoholic binges! But that’s life. At the moment a job is hard to come by so any new recruitment is good for the community.”

“It depends on the staff, Tesco will offer flexible working at good rates of pay, but they may not offer full time employment. Different people will want different types of job.”
