Hadleigh moves into carnival mode in July with the Summer Street Fayre family fun day and free live music.
It all starts with the Sunday Fayre in the High Street on July 16, which will include a car boot sale in Barclays car park.
On Tuesday, July 18, the Royal British Legion will host the Darts Competition, followed two days later by Quiz Night in the Town Hall.
The carnival procession takes to the streets on Saturday, July 22, winding its way to the site of festivities, East House Meadows, where a family fun day and events arena will be running throughout the afternoon culminating in a free music festival with local bands on a hired events stage in the evening.
The procession will be led by the Essex Samba Band which will ensure everyone knows it's time to party. There'll be a tug-of-war competition, demonstrations and attractions, food and drink stalls and anything from a coconut shy to bucking bronco, depending on support from the town's businesses.
If you don't know Hadleigh yet, this would be a good time to visit. If you do know Hadleigh, then you'll already have the dates in your diary.
