As Chamber Members may be aware, the Government announced earlier this year that Business Link’s regional network is to close on 30th November 2011.

Well its now October and things now get busy for the committee and its time to ask the question
3rd October
On the 3rd October at the Town Hall in Hadleigh contestants will be up against each other in the biggest talent show in the town EVER. The show is in 3 sections under 10 yrs, 11-15 yrs then 16 yrs +. The acts will perform one at the time and then we will have a break then the judges will announce the winner from that age group then we start the next age group until all the groups and finished. The show starts at 7pm at the Town Hall in Hadleigh and will cost £1 to get in and the bar will be open and tuck shop available. The contestants are ready and they stand a chance of winning a cash prize and also the winners from each age group will appear LIVE on stage at the Christmas lighting up. So make sure you come along to watch the show on the 3rd October 7pm.
19th October
Preparations are well underway for the annual Hadleigh Autumn Craft and Food Fair, which will take place on Sunday 19th October at the town’s Town Hall/Guildhall complex in the Market Place. More than 60 stalls (maximum we can accommodate) will be showcasing a wide range of speciality foods, handmade clothes, gifts, cards, glass and pottery items and jewellery, offering the perfect opportunity to treat yourself or to start your Christmas shopping! Free parking will be available throughout the town which runs from 11.00am to 5.00pm, and the Town Hall/Guildhall complex has disability access.
Last year’s Craft and Food Fair was a huge success but this year we are hoping for an even better turn out. We have attracted a wide range of high quality stalls offering an array of fantastic items, so make sure you’ve saved the date in your diary. Admission for adults is £1, with 50p concessionary charges available. Children under 13 will be admitted free of charge with an adult. We are sure you will agree this is a good value day out!

30th November
This year the event is smaller than normal due to the lack of help but i hope you will agree that we have got some entertainment for all ages. We have a stage in the market place which will have Christmas carols provided by the Elmsett fellowship brass band and also lots of local groups including, Diamond-Lites majorettes HADS doing a snippet from the snow queen, St Mary's school with a snippet from the recent show Joseph, and not forgetting the "Has Hadleigh Got Talent" winners from the show. We will also be holding a under 9 fancy dress show. We have plenty more in store on the stage including the build up to the lighting up which this year is hosted by a famous comedy duo.
As i said the High street will be open as usual but a crossing will be put in place by the police to the Barclays car park which will have a fun fair and also Santa sleigh will be making an appearance but don't forget to make your way to the stage for the lighting up build up at about 5:45pm. More information including timetable of events next month.
