Joining the Chamber

Hadleigh Chamber of Commerce supports, encourages and promotes trade and business in and around Hadleigh.

With now over 100 members we represent all areas of trade and commerce, from high street shops to international industry.  As active lobbyist group, information provider and forum for debate, the Chamber looks after a wide range of business - and social - matters.

In the last year we have been an integral part of the successful fight to keep car parking free in Hadleigh.  We are monitoring the movements of Tesco and negotiating early to ensure the town's traders get the best possible deal should the supermarket build in the town.

We have more than doubled membership; become involved in county-wide development policy and set up meetings where traders can meet socially.

James Walter and Adam Pooley

We are currently planning information events to enable our members to keep up to date with matters such as health and safety, disability rules, national and local taxation, marketing and employment laws.

With the launching of this web members will have automatic Internet presence which they control themselves as well as access to a members' forum and relevant business news from Hadleigh and the local region.

And all this is just £20 annual membership.  It's surprising anyone can afford not to join.....

The committee meets monthly at Walter Wright's High Street office and co-opts expertise for particular projects.  The Chamber has reinstated the regular Buisness Lunch meetings with the next on 7 June.
