It is that time again in the current round of the planning application for Brett Works for wider discussion and the Tesco representatives have asked us to arrange an evening meeting where members can talk to them, discuss the perceived benefits and local concerns. This meeting will be primarily to explore concerns and needs in the light of planning approval being given.
There has been a lot going on in Hadleigh in the last few months. Make sure we have your email address and that you are receiving the email news.
If not contact any of the current committee
Local Food is a theme that brings businesses and residents of Hadleigh together. We are soft launching a project to encourage local purchase and reduce food miles. If you have any ideas for events or want to help in any small way, please contact Jane Haylock at The Idler.
All the hard work which was done earlier in the year preparing the ground is beginning to show results as the first green shoots are appearing on vegetable plots and allotments.
Some thoughts on what is now in season and what you can do with them. Nearly all these ideas can be sourced locally (inluding the omlette pan).
A recent TV programme challenged a supermarket to show any product made within a 30 mile radius. You won't be surprised to find they didn't know where to start.
But do our local shops do any better? Over the next few weeks we'd like to get list of the local shops and what they sell that is produced locally - a contribution to save energy (on shipping) and support local business.
