It is that time again in the current round of the planning application for Brett Works for wider discussion and the Tesco representatives have asked us to arrange an evening meeting where members can talk to them, discuss the perceived benefits and local concerns. This meeting will be primarily to explore concerns and needs in the light of planning approval being given.
Nature of company:
DXA Machines (diagnosis of Osteoporosis).
Owns Apollo Diagnostics Ltd, a company that manages DXA machines for diagnosing bone density.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men over the age of 50 develop Osteoporosis. The detection of osteoporosis will allow people to adjust their diet, take relevant exercise and appropriate drugs to counter the effect of bone fractures. Detection and remedial treatment will reduce fractures that currently cost the NHS over £1.7 billion each year.
Apollo Diagnostics Ltd aims to develop a quality of service that will enable the NHS to operate DXA scanners at maximum efficiency and so reduce waiting times. Its Eastbourne DXA Suite operates in an award winning Primary Care Property with the very latest DXA equipment. Clex is managing and financing the development of Apollo Diagnostics throughout the UK.
